As I’ve talked about in a previous post, to truly achieve financial freedom, you need to be in control of your paycheck. The best way of doing that in my opinion is to grow an affiliate marketing business of your own. However, how do you learn that skill if you’ve never done it before? You take the One Funnel Away Challenge to learn how to build sales funnels.
It seems that nowadays, everyone and their brother is selling a course on affiliate marketing, especially those who are already in the space. If you’re curious about getting started, you’ve probably seen tons of courses being offered and they all range in price from about $100 to several thousand dollars.
They come in all shapes and sizes, but the popular format seems to be where you buy the course, a bunch of video modules are delivered to you via a membership site, and then it’s up to you to complete it at your own pace, or not.
The problem with this is that after you’ve bought the course, there is little to no support afterward and zero guidance. You’ve essentially spent hundreds of dollars on a set of DVDs to maybe watch and maybe implement what you’ve learned with no one holding you accountable.
This is where the One Funnel Away Challenge differs. A Company called ClickFunnels puts on the challenge, and they release a few videos every day for 30 days. A specific task is assigned at the end of each video and you’re supposed to complete that day’s task before the next video comes out tomorrow.
These tasks can be as simple as writing down the one thing that scares you the most about this challenge to something as complex as writing your origin story in the epiphany bridge format. You’ll learn more about the epiphany bridge script in the challenge, it’s pretty powerful.
In addition to the videos and homework assignments, you also get access to a secret Facebook group with everyone else that’s in the challenge along with you. You’re now part of a community going through the exact same things at the exact same time. This feeling of community is what I neglected from my challenge the first time and I regret it still.

The One Funnel Away Challenge is designed for people who either have an existing business they want to grow online or beginners looking to start making money online. This can be done either as an affiliate or by starting your own expert (info product) business.
The focus over the 30 days is more on learning how to craft your message, connect with your customers, and get your message out to people rather than the nuts and bolts of technical stuff.
Sure, there are elements to the challenge that will show you how to get things working (at the end of the challenge you will have an actual website where people can actually pay you real money for your stuff) but the true meat and potatoes of the challenge is learning how to sell effectively.
Three of the top internet marketers in the business train you:
Russel is the founder of Click Funnels and is arguably one of the best internet marketers of all time. His down-to-earth, no-hype approach, makes seemingly impossible to understand concepts seem so simple a child can understand them. His videos teach the high-level concepts and the “why” behind each step in the sales process.
Julie is a Two Comma Club winner (meaning she made over a million dollars in a year with Click Funnels) and she runs her own online businesses teaching people how to live the “laptop life.” I’ve taken her Offer Cure program and found it to be amazing!
Her videos build upon Russell’s and show you how to implement what he’s saying and set up all the technical aspects of the website. Russell will show you the “what” and “why” of a particular sales step, Julie will show you the “how.”
Stephens videos can be a bit brash which turned me off the first time I took the challenge, but when I went through the second time I realized I had missed a ton. His videos encourage self-development throughout the challenge. Stephen is a product of the Click Funnels process and he is a Two Comma Club winner himself.
As much as the challenge is about building an online business and website and email list, the challenge is also about building the correct mindset, beliefs, and habits in yourself. Stephen’s videos will provide the spark for this change. Trust me, he calms down after the first minute of each video.
In the first week of the challenge, there is no sales training. The first week is all about your personal beliefs. I myself had tried and failed a number of times trying to make money online and I had very skeptical, almost cynical beliefs about taking yet another training. “Is this another person trying to make a buck by preying on my desire to make money online?” was a common thought I had throughout the first week.
However, the way the trainers carry themselves and the research I’d done on Click Funnels led me to believe this was all on the level. The videos and homework assignments in the first week are about isolating and overcoming your fears, and believing in yourself that you can and will succeed in doing this.
In the second week, you will learn what makes an effective offer that people want to buy. Notice how I said offer and not product. This is because an offer is a collection of items that all work in unison to complement the core product.
You will learn how to build value in your offer and how to position yourself so that you’re really not competing with anyone even if someone else is selling a similar product. It’s a strange concept, but I promise they make it make sense.
The third week is all about finding your voice and crafting your message. You will learn how to be an effective storyteller and keep your customers engaged so they keep coming back for more. The best salespeople in the world are nothing but effective storytellers.
Their stories create a desire in the customer and make them want to buy instead of the salesperson having to push something on them. You will learn how to do this and it’s easier than you think.
The last week is actually where you build your funnel website and start learning how to get people looking at it. Using the great offer you’ve come up with and the amazing story you’ve written, you will create hooks that will pique people’s interest and make them want to hear more.
You will learn about different types of internet traffic generation and how to use each to your advantage based on your specific skill set. It’s in this week where you have the real possibility of making a real sale and earning some real money.
My main takeaway from this challenge is that it’s an absolute must for anyone looking to make money online. The training it offers is evergreen, meaning that the concepts taught will work forever. The community associated with it is top-notch and beyond helpful as well. You will never feel alone in the challenge unless you want to.
The problem with a lot of other courses is the feeling of lonesomeness after you’ve purchased the training. Unfortunately, this is what causes most people to quit. One Funnel Away does a very good job of trying to eliminate this feeling.
As for the price, it costs $100. Now, before you say “that’s too much,” you probably spent more than that the last time you were at Costco. The last time I checked, Kirkland Signature toilet paper doesn’t show you how to make money.
Heck, you’ll spend 10x that amount on Facebook ads trying to figure it out by trial and error. Ask me how I know.
