As a blogger, it is my job to create typed content. After a while though, my fingers start to hurt and my hands start to get fatigued. Recently, I came across a free Chrome extension that solved all of these issues. As a matter of fact, this entire post is going to be composed without touching the keyboard. I will be using a Chrome extension called “voice in voice typing”. To demonstrate the accuracy and quality of this extension, from this point on I will not correct the software. Take note of how few grammatical and spelling errors there are.
Voice in voice typing is a Chrome extension that is speech-to-text software. All you need to do let’s go to the Google Chrome Store and add it to your Chrome browser. From there, all you need to do is allow the microphone access and the extension is set up. Once set up, the extension will allow you to voice type in just about any Chrome input box. The only downside to this is that the extension will not work outside of Google Chrome.
what struck me as amazing was the incredible accuracy that voice in voice typing has. Like I said before, I am composing this article 100% on the software and have not corrected it since I started. Even with Google’s own native speech-to-text, I find myself correcting it when I voice type on my phone. Before discovering this Chrome extension, I tried using Microsoft’s native speech-to-text software inside of Windows, and it was horrible.
I also enjoy the fact that voice and voice typing is free. Most quality speech-to-text software cost a pretty penny, And the free ones are garbage. I also like the fact that I got the thing set up in about 5 minutes.
what also struck me as amazing was that there was no calibration phrase that I needed to repeat four times before using the software. Most of the time, you need to repeat a certain phrase so that the program can learn your voice. I didn’t have to do such a thing with voice in voice typing.
I thought for a while that I did not need any kind of software like this until I was reading my V blog post for the night and my wrists were killing me. I was looking for something so that I could keep producing as long as the thoughts were flowing. By finding the software, Not only was I able to crank out more content, but I am able to create content more quickly. At this point in the post, I am about five minutes in. Now, this post is really an off-the-cuff exercise and not a thoroughly planned post. However, I can see the saving me a bunch of thyme even on my plan post. My biggest fear with using a speech-to-text software for blogging would be that I would actually take more time correcting a bad transcription but I would be had I just typed it out in the first place. However, that’s not the case with voice in voice typing. I find myself correcting it very very little.
I hope this quick exercise has at least convinced you to check out voice and voice typing. They do not have an affiliate program and I will not make money if you install the app, I just wanted to give you a little Golden Nugget to help boost your productivity. I also hope that not correcting the software doesn’t backfire on me. I figured that was the best way to demonstrate the accuracy of the software.
After cutting my sales & marketing teeth in the retail car business, I decided to venture out into the world of entrepreneurship in 2017 with an app based car rental business. I marketed that business using social media and had some success, but ultimately it would fail in January of 2020.
After losing that business, I turned to content creation and marketing digital products. After launching several successful information products, I realized that the real staying and compounding power was in selling software as a service. Another pivot in 2022 led to earning the coveted "SaaSpreneur Gold" award from HighLevel in 2023.
